September Recap & Upcoming Events

What a month we had! We held a clothing drive, collected and shipped donations for Standing Rock (the warriors protecting our water in North Dakota against the Dakota Access PipeLine) in collaboration with Collectively Free, tabled at the Catskills Animal Sanctuary annual Shindig, collaborated with New York Farm Animal Save in their vigil outside La Granja a live animal market and slaughterhouse and distributed vegan food to folks in Harlem, prepared personal care packages (for which we are still missing cruelty free toothpaste! If you’d like to donate!) and opened our spot as usual in Tompkins Square Park every Saturday with various cheezy dishes thanks to a generous donation of vegan cheese by Marty’s V-Burger and some iced coffee thanks to a donation by Haiti’s Coffee.

Thank you to all our Veganteers! Together we make the difference in the lives of so many!

Coming up in October we will once again serve coffee, and other vegan goodies weekly at our usual distributions in Tompkins Square Park (1pm). We will collaborate with New York Farm Animal Save again on October 22nd bearing witness, doing vegan outreach, and providing vegan meals in Harlem in front of La Granja Live Animal Market: 12(noon) to 2pm. We will be at the NYC United For Animals Forum on October 27th in Furlam Hall NYU, 7pm-9pm. And we will have the Second Annual Superheroes for the Community Vegan Halloween Party on October 29th at Tompkins Sq. Park for kids as part of the Youth Engagement Program Yearly Celebration. 1pm-3pm during regular distribution. There will be vegan treats, candy, games, story-time, and costumes! Join us!

Also, Thanksgiving Community Feast and 2nd Year Anniversary event is coming up! More details will be coming up soon, in the meantime be sure to separate the date! Thanksgiving Day, November 24th from 12(noon) to 2pm in Tompkins Sq. Park!

Check out pictures of our September below! Thank you for supporting us as we dish out compassion!
